Cutting Images

Thank you for our photo session!
Your next task is to start cutting extra images from the gallery.
Before you make your first cut, be sure to check out the important tips in the
"Quick Tips For The Best Gallery" page.

Choosing images to cut is sometimes difficult, but is extremely satisfying when completed. Our shoot most likely produced too many similar images, differentiated by nuances that only you will appreciate.

To get the most from your gallery, you should cut to only those images that are unique. That said, this is YOUR gallery and you are free to leave as many images as you want.

A few thoughts about cutting images:
When you start cutting images, "pick the low fruit" first. Your first few rounds of cutting should only include images that are clearly not needed. “Less is more” and redundancy gets in the way of the experience. Keep only enough images to tell the story. Get help from friends and family if the images include you since it is often difficult for people to choose images of themselves.
HOW TO CUT IMAGES FROM YOUR GALLERY
1) In the gallery, you will find the name of currently selected image under the big image viewer window.

2) If you wish to cut images from the gallery, open a new email in your email application.

3) Please give the email a meaningful title such as “(Your name) Cut list 1”.

4) Write the number (found at the end of each image name) in the email. Please make sure the numbers are organized numerically.

5) You will build a list of image numbers to cut in that one email. When you feel that the list is sufficient, send the email to me.

I will often apply your cuts to the gallery within a few minutes, and usually (depending on my schedule) not any longer than a few hours. I’ll notify you when done.

IMPORTANT:
Please don’t send a list of images you want to keep,
only send a list of images that you want cut from the gallery.
